I Want To Write About # 92
Over the summer of 2011. My grandma and I flew to Minnesota, Minneapolis to visit my grandmas sister and her family. I had not met half of them and the half that I had met, I hadn't seen since my uncle's wedding when I was 5. All of the grandchildren were either my age or younger and we got along so well considering we had never met. We went to the Mall of America together and spent the week hanging out. The trip home was what I was frightened about. I have traveled to Minnesota with my grandma, but she was staying there for another month and I had to go home for school. I would have to take the airplane home all by myself. I was scared, but I am very good at navigating airports and I'm not afraid to ask people for directions. One I found my way to the gate, I read a book. Then on the airplane. I sat with a friendly man who was also flying alone and we talked. He was an author and he was telling me about his books! Once we landed home after a long trip, I was happy to be home safe and sound. Flying alone wasn't that bad and I am very excited to eventually fly to Texas to visit other family by myself.
