The "Speech to the Second Virgina Convention" was a speech given by Patrick Henry in 1775. The audience was the Virgina convention and the people that attended it. Patrick thought that Virgina should form a local militia in order to protect them selves and be prepared to fight the British. Patrick Henry was a strong believe in liberty and he believed that we deserved to be free from Great Britian. The speech was directed towards the president and in the speech, Patrick said a famous line that would be quoted to this day. That quote is "give me liberty, or give me death". I think that Patrick was trying to say that he would rather risk death or die fighting then he would rather sit back and have no liberty at all. I think that Patrick is a very good motivator and was fighting for a good cause.
