My Life Motto

Fear
I am not afraid of much, only spiders and death. I don't fear people because I am strong. I am not afraig of talking in front of people and I am not afraid to talk about my feelings or opinons. I like sharing my ideas with others and I don't fear that they will judge me. They have their own opinion too and can believe what they want to believe. I am not afraid of much and I have no fear of people.

Nursery Rhymes ARE Relevant to Life

Boys and girls, come out to play.
The moon doth shine as bright as day!
Leaves your supper and leave your sleep,
And come with your playfellows into the street.
Come with a whistle,
Come with a call.
Come with a good will, or not at all.
This nursery rhyme is important to me because my mom always used to tell me that if I had to do something, then I should be happy and do it or not do it at all. My mom would tell me " Either give all of your effort or none at all". The end of the nursery rhyme "Come with a good will, or not at all" means come and be happy with what you are doing or don't even bother going in the first place.

In Japan, this poem seems very important to the citizens. I believe that it is very important considering that in the article it says "Emperor Akihito, Empress Michiko, their two sons and other royalty in gowns sat silently inside a large room in the palace". Royalty attended the reading of the ten winning tanka's ("traditional five-line Japanese poems"). The theme for the tanka of 2011 was "shore" and the theme for 2012 will be "standing up".

Comic Connection

Recently, the weather has been getting colder and there has been snow sticking to the ground. As a school, we have recieved a two hour delay and will be recieving snow days and delays in the future. Even though people down south don't get snow days and delays like we do in upstate New York, we have to deal with the snow for months on end. Shoveling in the mornings and bundeling up just to get the news paper in the mornings are the down side to snow. After all of the work we do to manage and average life with snow, we only get about three snow days per season. I would rather live down south the avoid snow and cold weather. The only good thing about snow, is the idea of having a white christmas. Christmas of 2011 in Albany had no snow anyways so it's not worth it.

The artical I read was about a 17 year old girl, Noelle Johnson, who was the passenger in a car accident and was killed. The driver of the car had some minor injuries but is okay. His name was Brian Vecchio.The car crash was obviosly and accident so I was not completly sure how the justice system works and I was wondering if he would get any charges against him. After some further research, I discovered that Brian was charged with six motor vechical violations such as "unlicensed operation, speed not reasonable or prudent, reckless driving and driving to the left of pavement markings". After even more further reseach, I discoreved that not only was Brian cahrged with a violation but his farther will soon have some chargers against him. His father was the registered owner of the car in which Brian was driving.

In dance class, there are sometimes jumps or turns that could be dangerous if preformed wrong. My dance teacher always just tells me to "go for it" and she also says " you'll never be able to do it if you don't just try". She motivates me to push myself and do the best I can. She is one of my heros and I can just picture her saying "go for it, Rachel". The only reason I ever acomplish anything is by taking a risk and trying.

Rhianna- Rhianna is a very sucessful singer/song writter and has such musical talent.

Rachael Ray- Cooking shows can be one of the most boring things to watch, but I give Rachael Ray props to making it entertaining.

Nicole Richie- An author, fashion designer, actress and singer. She has such talent and has overcome a eating disorder and abuse of drugs.

Ryan Gossling- A Canadian actor and musicians who has stared in many well known movies.

Randy Jackson- He is very well known as being a judge for the popular TV show American Idol .

Deep Roy- Deep Roy is an actor who plays my personal favorite part - or should I says parts- in 2005 movie, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. All of the Oompa Loompas!

Ron Paul- Currently running for the 2012 presidential election for the Republican party.

Rick Santorum- A lawyer and politican who is running against Ron Paul or the 2012 presidentail election.
